Scope: Construction Management & Direction

The project comprises of a 23Ha brownfield site where Unilever plans to build an existing Plant extension at Sei Mangkei (Special Economic Zone (KEK) in North Sumatera, Indonesia. The plant site includes the building of five new production plants, a Refinery; a Fatty Acid Glycerin Plant; a Hydrogenation Plant; a Fractionation and Distillation Plant; and a new Soap Plant.

The plants require the extension or new building of six tank farms with a complete total of 29 tanks ranging in size from 100MT to 3000MT and complete with new Unloading and Loading stations, a CPO unloading station and Pipe Gantry modifications and new sections totaling 1,300T of steel and a total of five new MCC buildings and six new Cooling Towers.

To support this expansion a total of ten utilities will be build: a WWTP- Waste Water Treatment Plant; a WTP- Water Treatment Plant; a H2 Hydrogen Plant; an N2 Nitrogen Plant; a CHP- Combined Heat and Power Plant; a HP- High Pressure Boiler; a Medium Pressure Boiler Plant expansion; a TOH- Thermal Oil Heater Plant; a New Substation; and a Compressed air Plant extension.
